Roundtable debates of MA and PhD students are dedicated to the presentation of research papers and discussions on various issues about the role of music and art in the shaping of European cultrual identity, with a view to identify the most provocative subjects belonging to this area of studies.
Depending on the interest of students, topics may include: mehanism of inclusion/exclusion and musical identities, musical genres, interdisciplinary approach to crossroads of music and other arts, phenomenon of the appearance of musical work in written form, ontological and hermeneutical issues in music art, biographical spots and compositional strategies, as well as the role of cultural and media integration in European integration processes at all.
After the end of the debate, each student receives a certificate of satisfactory completion of the Jean Monnet Module “Music and Art in the Shaping of the European Cultural Identity”.
The best student’s research papers, submitted each year at roundtable debate, would be available through the radio broadcasting at the most-listened radio stations in Serbia, Radio Belgrade 1&2 (part of the RTS, one of the largest broadcasting companies in the region) and published online, via the project web site, as the book with the ISBN.
